Greetings, Crusaders! With Mechanics nearly finished, and Classes and Races soon to be created, we will need to start making Boards to actually RP on. The only problem is I cannot decide which locations to start with! Seeing as we have a few members here already, I decided to open a poll to gauge opinions on what we should start with. If we start with more than one country, we'll most likely start with some type of travel system due to all of the locations being so far apart. Keep in mind, this is a Semi-AU, based some time after Dio's defeat in Stardust Crusaders. (I imagine it'd be mid 90's, but that is subject to change due to the timeline not being written up just yet.) Please, make sure to tell me which option you choose by replying to this thread I'd love to hear your reasoning for your choice.

I chose all three, I think it would be best to have more than a single place to be located in. IC people have have business in other part of the world, maybe the plot of how they got their stand/stone mask/hamon training originates from a specific place. while a few of these can go unnamed without needing it to be an area to actually rp in I think it would be good to have a good 3 areas to traverse.
I could see the items being used for such a thing. Like A flight ticket, a car to private jet, etc. In general it would probably be best to have more than one place.

The only worry I have for implementing all three at once is a lack of centered RP. I doubt we'll start off with a lot of players, meaning that if someone wants to RP starting in Cairo but the RP is taking place in America, they're going to have to either play alone or start somewhere else anyways.
Of course, starting with only one area might bring about that problem later down the line as well. If we open up more locations later on, RP might get stuck to the zone we started with. Despite this, I think it would be better to start with just one, at least for the very beginning.

Since Stardust was so travel centered, I think it would be best to separate threads by type instead of location and just have the location as a tag in the title (e.g. (Egypt)Example Thread Title).
This way people won't be barred off from participating in large threads just because they don't have a means to get there.
Just my thinking.

Well, my thought on traveling between locations would be that we could incorporate two different travel options: A personal transport (Ranging from shoddy and slow but cheap, or incredibly quick but expensive), or you could purchase a one-use ticket to take public transport, which would be cheaper than even the cheapest personal transport.
Of course, public transport would also allow for open threads in the sky(Plane) or on the ocean(Boat/Cruiser) open to only those who purchased a ticket for the proper transport.
I think having every location essentially be right next to one another mechanically would make for a bit of non-tense RP.

Based on TTC's first reply to me, I think first having new york then adding the other area's later possibly has the least repercussions. On a side note but still relevant something I would suggest are better descriptions for area's. I would take it upon myself or suggest that "filler" area's are placed to make it easier to immerse oneself, for example the main tab would be America(New york) then split to specific districts IN new york.
like queen's, times square etc. the sub locations being queens/time square would have somewhat brief but informational information about what is to see in the said place, like perhaps the state it is in, it may be a bit easier if we use real places as references, then we have the places in one not so broad such as Queens which would have a list of locations like "Brando Buffet" or "the comic shop" just to give people an easier time getting into the immersion.
I suggest this mainly because the world of jojo isn't as "this and that" like dragon ball where area's hardly matter, like how namek is mountain after mountain but new york may has this building and that building where certain people can be found.

Looks like the vote is fairly one-sided. I'll be locking the poll now, and begin working on creating the America board as our first RP location after we've finished the race and mechanic write-up.
