History: The Kils family hails from Korea, forged in a time where feuding families beget civil wars. The Kils were initially a mere faction of smaller families who all gathered under a single metaphorical banner against their opposing faction, the Bhi, a similar gathering of families. Their initial feud was purely political, but all history has shown that nothing political stays that way. Those with smaller minds amongst the families sought to kill the opposing faction, for reasons ranging from personal sleights against their honor, to more petty reasons like 'they used words too big for me'. And lo, as the sleights went on, and the blood was shed, the civil war began.
New techniques were perfected specifically for the murder of the other faction, leading to a pair of martial arts specifically developed for their ever-evolving brother. These two styles in unison lead to some of the best warriors in Korean history, oft overlooked on account of a very small amount of documentation. A larger issue sparked when the Kils began to unite against the Bhi in more than just a political sense, and they put together their forces to unify in a militaristic mannerism. By the time the Bhi took in kind to the Kils their forces were decimated. Survivalism took hold of them and they sought survival through any means necessary, leading them down the dark path of sorcery.
Using the learnings of traveled warlocks from far, far away, the Bhi family obtained two incredible weapons, not just against the Kils, but against all of mankind itself. The first weapon was tame for the most part: They learned the mystic art of precognitive prognostication, or for a better term, the art of Fortune Telling. The second thing they'd learned was not a spell, but a ritual, and a power, and a weapon: Vampirism. The Bhi family attained a Stone Mask from the Warlocks, and unlocked their secrets.
Thusly their traits became a bloodline from the faction, making them a family. The Kils were overwhelmed by the sheer power of the Bhi Vampires, such that in a single night, more than half of the faction was slain. Morale was devastated, and those who were weak willed, as well as those who valued their lives more than their values, backed out of the faction. This did nothing to save them, however, and without the protection of the faction, they too were hunted and slain.
If the Bhi kept up with their nightly raids with such tenacity and fervor, with nothing else in the background, the Kils wouldn't have survived the month. However, with great power come great pride, and a single sleight is all it takes to drop the charade of civility between a mighty vampire and a traveling egyptian sorcerer. Especially when that sleight was an attempt on the sorcerer's life. Having broken their honorable vows of peace even a single time, the Bhi were now faced with the wrath they were promised in their magic prophecies.
"You Shall Obtain Great Power, And Crush Thine Foes In An Inescapable Vicegrip. But No Power Can Match The Wrath Of The Sun; So You Shall Fear What You'll Been Given, Or Be Baptized In It's Flames For Your Hubris."
The 'flames of the sun' this prophecy foretold, was the art of Hamon, which the Sorcerer in question was a master of. A breathing method, easily learned by any mortal man, whatever his physical shape, which could give them the power of the Sun, and channel it however they wish with some practice. Because of the folly of one, the Bhi simultaneously discovered this terrifying power and handed it over to their mortal enemies the Kils. The Sorcerer held quite the grudge, and taught the breathing method to one martial arts master who still lived amongst the Kils.
Upon discovering the true might of Hamon, the master spread the art like wildfire throughout the ranks of the Kils faction, unifying them as a family against the Bhi once again. In a single night the Kils had returned the favor to their vampiric enemies, and in doing so drove them out of the Province they'd so long cohabitated. So stood the humble origins of the Vampire Hunting Family, the Kils. Their family feud with the Bhi did not end in a night, nor did it ever truly end in any real sense. They chased after the Bhi with all their might, hunting them until they were extinct.
The Bhi continued their flight, and spread Vampirism worldwide, spreading their bloody lineage wherever they could, dominating the minds of the weak, or making more soldiers for their lost cause. Meanwhile, the Kils could only keep chasing them. Vampires were a notoriously long-lived bunch, since they'd note that even after 20 or 50 years of this hunt, the Bhi Vampires didn't age a day. This was when the Kils started breeding outside of their countrymen.
By the time another batch of strapping young vampire hunters was ready to fight the good fight. The Bhi had spread their influence around the world, and taken refuge in the New World, America! This began the time known as the Boston Witch Trials, where the Kils would use their particular talents to pose as holy men to turn the population, who would otherwise shelter their citizens, against the 'witches'. Burning them, drowning them, hanging them, many methods were used. But the Bhi were spreading themselves, and picking particularly suitable hosts to do so, creating more powerful vampires, an evolving curse which knows no limits!
So the Kils took to the same tactic, and began selectively picking mates in the New World, using rigorous trials and presumed nobility as bait for mighty and proud alike to attempt to breed the best possible vampire hunters. With the invention of Automobiles and Aeroplanes some few generations later, the two feuding families would spread out across the world. They'd participate in the World Wars, any wars they could really. It was no longer about politics, it was about deep-bred respective hatred of Vampires and their Hunters, and the thrill of the hunt.
During the later part of the 1970s (1978 to be specific), Lexx Kils was born. His family wasted no time in making sure that he knew the Hamon breathing technique as soon as he entered the mimicry stage of his youth. Their dayjobs didn't matter all that much, though his mother was and is a School Teacher, and his father a Foreman for a Construction Company. By the time he was in school, Hamon was a second nature prospect. He had a lot of time to experiment with his unique power, and took to getting into fights in school, and on his way home from school. His parents, whilst proud of his enthusiasm, were less than thrilled about his education's ever lowering quality.
He'd mellow out after his first growth spurt in terms of brawl-happiness. Lexx was instead introduced to the notion of what his talent was meant for: The total annihilation of Vampires. At that age he was amongst the most promising youths in the Kils family in terms of it. When he was recommended to find a way to make Hamon his own, he began to experiment a little bit, only to find out what he liked most almost immediately, and rolled with it. This impressed even his own parents, who took years to figure out how to make it their own.
Practicing with this, he sought to make Vampire hunting his livelihood, and focused on little else, excluding social aspects of his life until he'd turned 16. He was in high school, and he was one of the weird goth kids, who seemed to be obsessed with the whole Van Helsing vibe. It was around this point when he was confident enough to actually go vampire hunting for the first time, but he had no clue where to start looking. It was only after taking to the social scene for a change that he discovered where to find some vampires. Notorious for their love of the night life, he found himself attending a rave. He would inform his parents of his findings, and they told him not to go.
Ever the confident one, he would go anyways, he had a tactic to determine who was a vampire which involved the moshpit and otherwise utilize the egregious physical contact inherent to the scene. Unfortunately, that sort of plan tends to go pear-shaped rather swiftly when just about every individual in attendance of the rave happened to be a vampire.
This was basically exactly what his parents were afraid of. He was a talented hunter, probably the best of his generation in the area. But he wasn't good enough to tackle well over 100 vampires in a confined space at night.
Happily for him, his Parents were basically going to crash this party anyways. All he had to do was fend for himself for just long enough for them to get there, and then they'd have a full Vampire Hunting Party all ready to rock and whatnot. Lexx was definitely on the cusp of being defeated after milling through as many vampires as he could, but his family showed up just in time to save him. To this day he revels in the event, and seeks to replicate the feeling of mowing down the blood-sucking scumbags at every chance he gets.
Lexx took to hunting for Dens of vampires, which oddly enough, tended to have less vampires than raves did. Meanwhile he had to drop out of school to avoid media coverage of that incident at the rave. Thusly he was clear from the repercussions of the event, albeit, still left socially inept. Not a particularly subtle guy, practically no manipulation skills outside of literal manipulation. To some, this has charmed them into liking his straightforward personality. To others, he is a selfish kid who gets in way over his head way too often, and comes out of it only due to sheer luck.
However, once Vampires became a worldwide public enemy, and people started hunting them for reasons outside of typical personal grudges and family tradition, Lexx became pretty apprehensive about the whole situation. After all, hunting vampires is all he's wanted to do all his life, and now he's got to deal with more competition than he'd ever thought possible. And with the development of Stands as a thing he needs to worry about, his job has even become much more difficult. But in truth, he wouldn't have it any other way. He lives on the cusp of a new generation of power and danger, and he aims to see through to the generation after that!
Techniques:
Offensive:
Razorblade Pinwheel (B1): Charging up his pinwheels with Hamon, he causes them to stiffen up and sharpen, before slashing a foe with them.
Whirling Razor Pinwheel (A2): He charges up his pinwheels with Hamon, whilst blowing into them in a mannerism which seems gentle, though apparently isn't, because they spin like a pair of circle saws and spark madly with Hamon power. He then attempts to slash the foe with them.
Needlepoint Pinwheel (B1): Charging up a few pinwheels with Hamon, he hurls them towards the enemy like throwing spikes. These can be used to strike or pin foes to walls, since the pinwheels are stronger.
Gyro Tracker Pinwheel (VA): Similarly to Whirling Razor Pinwheel, he blows into the pinwheels to build up dangerously high revs whilst charging them with Hamon. However, the similarities end there, as he throws the pinwheels, and uses the spinning to continually propel the pinwheels towards the foe, causing them to home in on the target if they miss.
Support:
Falling Star Pinwheel (SU): He charges hamon into a pair of pinwheels (or more) as he falls, using the wind to build up a great deal of RPMs, and gyroscopically slows his fall to a hover. He can then slowly lower himself to the ground, or even chain this into any Rev-dependant offensive techniques he has (like Whirling Razor Pinwheel or Gyro Tracker Pinwheel).

[HEAVENLY PINWHEELS]
PRAISE THE SUN
He is a strong practitioner of Hamon, and can use it in many ways, having incredible cleverness and versatility; However, his primary focus is on the use of Pinwheels as a weapon in conjunction with Hamon. This allows him to create insanely damaging weapons with little actual power needed behind it. These pinwheels also serve as a versatile tool in general, with a great deal of potential uses behind them, especially when paired with other items and tools. Typical uses include taking advantage of the spinning ability of a pinwheel, to make gyroscopes and cutting blades.
OVERDRIVE
[Twice per thread (but never two posts in a row), by tapping into the power of the sun, you are able to use any number of techniques at once, but up to a total of 150% of your Soul Sync level. If you intend to use Variant Techniques, you may only use two each time you activate Overdrive.]
