General Rules:
1) Don't be a Jerk. This is an RP Site, not a war zone. You are expected to act like a civil individual whilst using our site in any way. Joking around is totally fine, but excessive rude behavior will not be tolerated.
2) No Public Sexual Content, Especially in Roleplay: Stand United is hosted on Proboards, which is strictly a PG-13 Website. If you wish to pursue sexual content with a fellow member, please do so off-site. Any overly sexual content will be removed and the poster punished.
3) All player profiles must be named after their characters: Though you can name your account itself anything you like, we require all users to change their Display Names to the name of the character they've chosen to play. Though Face Claims are not required, they are recommended to avoid confusion.
4) All players only get one vote per poll. In any poll on the site, all players are only allowed one vote. If you use an alternate account to vote a second time, we won't count the vote.
5) Do not attempt to hide alternate accounts/profiles as your own. If you decide to make an alternate character(which requires an alternate account/profile), please inform us in your character application.
6) Do not ask for Staff Members to do Staff-related tasks in the Chatbox, Discord, and Skype Group. If you see a Staff Member out in the wild, please refrain from asking them to approve your character/grade your thread/approve your shop request/etc. If you're chatting with a Staff Member in the Chat box, consider them on break. (Whilst this rule is important, it is not a punishable offense unless you consistently break it. Regardless, try not to bother your friendly neighborhood Moderators with requests. They're a player, just like you.)
7) Treat the Chatbox, and the Discord/Skype chats as extensions of the site. All rules that apply to Stand United proper apply to the three chat rooms we have available. If you are caught breaking a rule on any of the three, you will be punished.
8) No soliciting. While we are 100% fine with advertisements being posted in the Advertisement board, we are NOT okay with you posting links to other sites in the Chatbox or any other non-advertisement thread/board.

Roleplay Rules/Guidelines:
1) No Godmodding. EVER. Godmodding is the act of controlling another characters actions without consent of the player controlling them (I.E: Saying a character follows you, or takes a hit). Godmodding is 100% forbidden. Any instances of Godmodding will be punished severely.
2) All threads on this site run the risk of death. However, due to our "Luck Burst" system, all characters can survive fatal blows anywhere from 2-4 times before they are truly slain. (Please refer to the "Death and Luck Bursts" Section of the Mechanics page to learn more about the Luck Burst system.)
3) Using items or abilities not normally at your disposal without permission from a Moderator and the people you are threading with will result in a penalty; usually in the form of a deduction of either Soul Sync or Stardust. Repeat offenses will incur harsher punishments.
4) This roleplay occurs in real time, with threads being set on the date they're posted. A thread does not progress in real time, with the date staying the same unless specifically stated.
5) Using Out Of Character(OOC) knowledge to alter events or gain an advantage in the In Character world will not be tolerated. Just because you know OOC that Dio's Stand "The World" can stop time does not mean your character has this knowledge. Attempting to use OOC knowledge of the IC Universe in this way will earn you a hefty punishment.
6) Players are allowed up to play up to Five Characters at a time. If you wish to create an alternate character after your first one, make sure you play them on a separate account. Failure to do so will result in a penalty.
7) If you wish to assault/invade a named location, you will have to do so in a Fated Bout thread(Please refer to Thread Types below for further information). Attempts to destroy/invade/claim a named location require a 72-Hour wait time to allow fellow players to respond. Should no opposition appear within those 72 hours, your attempt will have been considered a complete success.

Thread Types:
1) Open Threads: The bread and butter of any RP. A thread of this type is open to anyone to join! It's an excellent way to forge new relationships, whether they're friendly or not.
2) Closed Threads: Same as the above, though only people you've invited/tagged in the thread are allowed to join. Most Threads are considered closed unless specified otherwise.
3) Travel Threads: A bit of an alternative thread type, Travel Threads are only created when using one of the transport items. It can be either open to allies, or closed to only yourself(essentially identical to a solo thread). If a Ticket is in use, the Travel thread must be Open, though only others with a Ticket in their inventory may join. If a Travel thread breaks out into battle before the OOC travel time has been reached, the travel time is extended by 24 hours.
4) Fated Bouts: These threads are reserved for incredibly serious matters. Due to the high stakes most of these threads hold, the Luck Burst system is deactivated completely, meaning you will most certainly die if you are mortally wounded. To compensate for this risk, Soul Sync and Stardust gains are increased immensely. These threads are always open. 4b) "Closed" Fated Bouts: While Fated Bouts are reserved for the biggest of moments, we also allow Closed Fated Bouts, for the moments that aren't exactly world altering. If you're just looking for a one-on-one with an old rival or something equally small scale, then a Closed Fated Bout is for you. As with normal Closed Threads, Closed Bouts are only allowed to be joined by those who are invited/tagged. (Note: If the contents of a Closed Bout are deemed too important by the staff team, then the thread will be forcibly opened to the Public.)
5) Solo Threads: As the name suggests, these threads are one man threads, usually used for training of some kind. You can go on an adventure, do some exercising, or do a job of some kind. Any which way you do it, you will be rewarded with either an increase to your Soul Sync or Stardust.
Thread Type Rules:
1) All threads on Stand United operate on Liquid Time, meaning you are able to participate in multiple threads as the same character without having to stick to a set timeline. (For Instance: Thread A might take place most recently, but you can also join Thread B and C, both of which started a few days before Thread A.) 1b) Whilst this is not a requirement, we recommend keeping yourself to a maximum of participation in 3-5 threads at any given time. This is due to the possibility of joining too many threads at once and 'burning out' on RP.
2) The order people join a thread is the post order for that thread. The post order should not be deviated from unless requested to/someone needs to be skipped for some reason.
3) All threads have a 72-hour timer on participants posts. Should someone not post within those 72 hours, the person who was next in the order can post ahead of them. Keep in mind however, just because you CAN skip someone, doesn't mean you have to.
4) Open and Closed threads do NOT have a time limit on joining. A thread that is labeled as open can be joined at any time, but make sure not to hop into a thread just as everyone is leaving; that's just rude.
5) When joining a thread of any kind, make sure to post your current Soul Sync level somewhere in your post. This is helpful not only for posterity purposes, but also as a way to keep track of your own strength in a thread in case you've gotten stronger since it started.
6) There is a limit of 3 Solo Threads per week, as well as a limit of 15,000 words to use within those 3 solos. Any words past this limit will not be awarded any gains. Repeat offenses will result in a penalty to your grade.
