Name: Zack ''Zappa'' Zentaro Tompson (His actual initials, ZZT, are a reference to ZZ Top, while his chosen nickname is a reference to Frank Zappa. He took on the nickname due to the name of his Hamon discipline, once he figures it all out! He also goes by ZZ as a nickname.)
Species: Human
Gender:
Male
Age:
Twenty.
Appearance:
Normally his hair is laying down, with long bangs, and it reaches just past his shoulders. When channeling Ripple in his characteristic Thunder Style, the static field causes his hair to spike, much like somebody vigorously attacked his forehead with a balloon. He is lithe and very well toned, with long legs that make him a natural fit to his fighting style.
Class:
History: Zack was born in New York City in the summer of 1972. His father was an American factory foreman after having spent a great portion of his life as a member of a biker gang, while his mother was a well-educated nurse from a family of Japanese immigrants, effectively making him half-Japanese (explaining his English first name and Japanese middle name). Due to the long hours both of his parents often had to work, Zack was most often left to his own devices. From a young age he'd learned how to cook for himself and care for his basic needs, and any time he spent outside of school at home at this age he was usually preparing dinner for one of his parents to come home or taking care of other household upkeep chores. On the rare occasions they were all home at once, he still did everything he could to take good care of his always fatigued family on top of staying ahead of his studies. As he began to grow older though, he slowly started to resent the fact that all his family had time for was work. Due to this, he wanted to make some friends. Lonely weeks at home gave way to poor social skills, and it was through being bullied at school over this that he would meet his very first and best friend, a boy named Terry. Terry was a lot like Zack; his family was in similar condition, but he'd been lucky enough to live in a large neighborhood with plenty of time to normalize his social skills. He was a gifted athlete and had charisma to boot, and he was the first person to ever stick up for Zack. The two grew close fast, and it didn't take long before Terry practically lived at Zack's now a little less empty home.
Becoming highly overprotective of Terry, Zack began getting into fights anytime he heard about somebody bad mouthing his best friend. Seeing as he had no clue how to fight, he came home pretty often with fresh bruises and scrapes. His mother scolded him constantly as she would care for him in her small amounts of free time, while his father instead decided on a different approach; with the fighting becoming more commonplace, he taught Zack what he knew about the finer points of boxing and dirty fighting from his experience in one too many biker brawls. Due to his naturally long legs, Zack wasn't a terribly great fit for it but it did help. He eventually heard of a discipline called shoot boxing, and after pitching the idea to his father he was enrolled partway through middle school. It worked as a great way to relieve his stress and it made him very spirited, which led to great success as a student and him becoming more competitive which led to him joining his middle school's track team. It was around this time however he really started taking names when it came time to throw down during or after school, and by this point Terry and Zack were more like family than friends. Zack's brash and impulsive personality rubbed off on Terry, while Terry's charisma found its mark on Zack.
Upon reaching high school, Zack ended up with a part time job as an assistant coach for the local middle school track team. His grades began to slip as he slowly stopped caring about his education, and he'd become just popular enough to get a two-bit gang of punks going after a while which drew his interest in coaching away. He began taking a nose dive into bad habits throughout his high school career, and the fighting only got worse. He stopped his upkeep on the family household in favor of doing what his gut told him to do, which was usually ''find a guy from another school and mug him'' or something similar. While Terry began to heavily disagree with Zack's actions and motives, he still always watched his back. After graduation (where Zack coasted by with a C average), he began focusing more on the dangerous lifestyle and thrill-seeking of his crew, and although he held onto his job for a good while eventually they got tired of him showing up with trophies from the most recent fight and terminated his contract. He began making most, if not all of his money from seedy activities. His family had long grown tired of who he'd become, and he was promptly kicked out shortly after his nineteenth birthday. He was able to scrape together enough money to claim a small apartment in a bad side of town, and it didn't bother him a bit. He began to step his game up when it came to all of his shady activities, and not only was he living ''comfortably'', but he had a small surplus of spending money too.
Currently, Zack lives in his own little slice of paradise, getting by through doing what he enjoys. He is still unaware of his ability to channel the Ripple, but future events may force his understanding...
Techniques: As an untapped Hamon User, Zack starts with five technique slots.
Offensive:
[B1] Zoom Kick: The only Hamon-based ability Zack can currently utilize until he meets a mentor that can unlock the extent of his Ripple. What he mistakes for desperation is in fact the power of the Ripple traveling through his body, which he utilizes on instinct. With this move, he can extend the joints of a striking leg for an ultra-fast and surprisingly powerful kick to his opponent at 25% of his Soul Sync. When used, a static spark flashes around his striking limb, accompanied by the Ripple's golden energy. Being a kick, this version of ''Zoom'' is granted a greater range and arguably more power than the ''Zoom Punch''. Although it is thrown slower, the ''Zoom'' function of the Ripple makes this offset negligible.
[A2] Flash Kick: The Flash Kick is a technique Zack will learn after having his inner Ripple awakened. Channeling the Ripple of Hamon through both legs, he will perform either a dive kick upon his opponent infused with Ripple energy, or in more spectacular fashion using his speed, perform a high-impact back-flip kick with both legs to discharge a heavy shock of Ripple energy onto his opponent with 50% of his Soul Sync.
[A3] Thunder Split Attack: A technique of a long and distant mystery ancestor, this is a complicated technique that Zack will take great pride in. Using his natural agility and the body-bolstering powers of the mysterious Ripple, Zack leaps at his opponent before bringing both legs forward to collide with his adversary's arms, splitting them apart. If they are not using a defensive position that allows such, he will plant them against their shoulders or elbows. Upon righting his position, he then brings down an iron-sharp chop, super-charged with Ripple energy, bringing an incredible might of sunlight to bear against his foe with 75% of his Soul Sync power.
[B1] Static Bubble Launcher: With the natural conduction of Hamon that liquids feature, Zack can form a grouping of bubbles formed from Ripple energy out of any liquid on his person or near him and launch it at an opponent to detonate like a cluster of small grenades. This ranged ability strikes at 25% of his Soul Sync.
Support:
[SUP1] Static Slip: Putting the properties of Zoom Kick to work in both legs, Zack can suddenly and surprisingly shift his position with an incredible burst of speed uncanny for a human. Dodges up to 100% of his Soul Sync. In appearance, he can move quickly enough to summon two afterimages of himself as he moves that flank his left and right sides, much like a mystery fighter from long, long ago...

[HAMON STYLE]
PRAISE THE SUN
Zack, once awakened to Ripple, will be a primarily close-ranged fighter who utilizes the Ripple-infused discipline of Thunder Style Hamon. It is wildly similar to the arts of a Hamon warrior lost to the pages of history, focusing on creative and confusing close ranged attacks of surprising power. Along with this, he can hold his own at a distance with the variation on his style named Thunder Bubble Style.
OVERDRIVE
Thunder Yellow Overdrive is Zack's personal Overdrive. When used, his body will glow with the light of Ripple, supplemented by what can range from sparks to full arcs of Ripple in electric fashion.
STATISTICS
[The facets of Hamon come under several categories and are graded in an alphabetical system from E- to A+, with E- being the worst and A+ being the best. C is the average grade where you will work from while creating your Hamon user!]
