Post by Rachael 'Cambria' Hunt on Apr 28, 2016 0:48:55 GMT
Name: Rachael Hunt
Alias: Cambria* (Known to most who've met her or that know of her as this)
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 406
Appearance: Rachael has light skin, icey blue eyes, and long dark hair usually left to flow freely down to between her shoulders. She appears physically fit...but nowhere near as fit as a human would have to be to command the strength she does. Clothing tends to vary, but she has a liking for the color blue.
Class: Vampire
History:
1586 - Rachael was born in England.
1586 thru 1610 - Rachael lived a poverty-stricken life with her family, consisting of her and her parents. Her father worked himself to the bone to support her and her mother. Sadly her mother passed away in 1601 from illness. Years go by and her father eventually resorts to gambling, hoping to win big enough to get his daughter out of their current life.
1610 - Rachael's father accumulates too much debt from gambling. Men are sent one night to visit the Hunt home. Her father is beaten, then the men turned to her. Upon hearing that since he could not pay his debts with money, they might take her instead. This caused Rachael's father to fly into a rage, taking down one of the men before being mortally wounded by a blade one of the others pulled out. Rachael, seeing her father struck down, fled the place she called home. She would not return.
Soon afterwards the young woman was approached by a stranger, who had heard what happened apparently. The man asked if she would like to exact vengeance on the men who killed her father. Upon her questioning him what he could do, he offered her a mask. He told her if she swore she would serve him after the deed was done, he would gift her the means to do so. Skeptical, Rachael thought on the offer and in the end, the want of revenge against those men won over. It was not like she had much to lose anymore anyway. She asked the stranger what she had to do. He simply replied 'Put on the mask'. As she did so, the man cut his own hand and smeared the blood that flowed out as a result onto the mask. Before Racheal could question him on what he was doing....everything went dark.
The next thing Rachael remembered was standing over the men who had murdered her father, their bodies torn asunder. She then realized she had not only done this to them....but she had done so with her bare hands. Some sort of thrill ran through her, the feel of having that much power at her command. Upon seeing one of them still alive, her hand thrusted out instinctively, sinking into the man's flesh. She could feel her body pulling something into her, making her feel refreshed. It took a moment to realize she was draining the main of his life essence...his blood. She'd been turned into a vampire.
1610 thru 1815 - Rachael serves her new master along with several other vampires he created. While it seemed the others had turned to vampirism for power and domination, Rachael had turned to it merely as a means to exact revenge for her father. Her original goal having been complete, she ironically did not have the bloodlust her fellow creatures of the night did. However she could not part ways with her new master as he had told her they were bond now, through the mask. He informed her he could terminate her at any time, and if he perished so would she. It had been a lie but Rachael wasn't aware of it at the time. So she continued serving while thinking of someway to break free of his control. The good thing to come out of these years was more information on how her powers worked and what her body could do. Zombies, limb repair, etc. She learned quite a few things during this time. Given the moniker 'Cambria' early in this period by her master to separate her from her 'past life'.
1815 - Rachael's first encounter with Hamon users was a bloody one. The coven of vampires had descended upon a isolated community and were using them as cattle. It appeared however, a group of people had caught wind of their exploits. During the siege the Hamon users laid upon their lair, Rachael ended up in combat with a young disciple of the group's leader. Most of both sides' numbers had fallen. Eventually it was just Racheal, her master, the Hamon users' leader and his protege. Unable to disengage from her fight with the young man, she could only watch her master was struck down, his skull being destroyed by burst of energy before the human leader fell as well, having been mortally wounded right before his own attack landed. A draw.
The young man she had been fighting was overcome with grief...while she was overcome with fear....until she realized she was still alive. The man had lied to her all these years. Now free of her servitude, Rachael immediately proceeded to retreat, despite the young hamon user's attempts to stop her. It wouldn't be the last time they met however.
1815 thru 1939 - Rachael jumped form place to place from that point on. She would stay in one area for a few years or so, then move once she got tired of the area or she was forced to. The woman had learned how to drain her prey without killing them. She did however have no qualms about making zombified servants out of criminals. The worse of the worse. The ones society would not mind gone. Whichever area she decided to stay in usually saw a drop in criminal activity, and she made a habit of getting people in those areas to have most positive opinions of her. After all it's harder to believe someone could be a monster of myths if they're your friend.
She also encountered the hamon user she fled from before several times through the years...then his own proteges. He held a grudge against her being one of the vampires to cause the death of his companions and teacher. As well as the only one to escape alive. Wherever she went, there was a possibility of someone appearing before her who knew her description, knew what to look out for. Quite frankly it had started to annoy the vampire. But she always let them live. She refused to act like the monster they all saw her as....until one day one of them pushed her to her limits.
1939 - The year Racheal first encountered a Stand. She'd been using an abandoned manor as a hideout with another vampire she had turned some years earlier, seeing some similarities between their origins. The man with the Stand was not someone connected with the group of Hamon users she periodically dealt with in the past. And when he showed he was capable of summoning some sort of 'spirit', she was taken by surprise. It took the form of a large mantis like insect and the man controlled it as he did battle with Rachael and her servant. The combination of Hamon energy and this creature the man summoned proved to be brutal for Rachael.
Somehow during the fight the ruined building caught fire. She assumed the man had set it up as a back up plan. The building had begun falling around them as they fought, letting in light from the sun that had begun to rise. Rachael and her servant were separated in one instance, and the stranger managed to knock her back towards a patch of sunlight. Only....It didn't kill her. She had let out a scream as she fell, completely sure it was the end of her....only to realize she was still laying on her back in a quickly collasping building. In desperation, the vampire took the moment her opponent was shocked and used it as an opening, firing a jet of pressurized fluid from her eyes. The man had not expected the attack, dropping instantly to the floor, a neat hole through his skull.
With that, Rachael and her servant left the manor, now able to move in the sunlight. This opened up more possibilities for not only them, but any vampire under similar circumstances. It seemed they had...evolved somehow. Whatever the cause, Rachael was happy to be able to stand out in the sun again, even if it appeared that doing so still had an adverse effect on her. Instead of burning, she simply became sickly. She would still use this new found ability in the years to come regardless.
1950 - Rachael traveled to the U.S. with her servant for a change of scenery. Ended up in New York
1962 - An encounter with a Hamon using priest ends with Rachael losing, causing her to retreat. The damage is severe enough that she went into her coffin to rest, and slipped into a death-like coma. Her servant stays nearby, awaiting the time she awakens.
1962 thru 1992 - Racheal lies dormant for 30 years.
1992 - Building under which Racheal's coffin lies is burned down and her servant is unable to recover her coffin. Her locked coffin is uncovered later and taken to the nearby museum as it looked to have been made many, many years ago. They found it odd however that it was in the location they found it. They try to identify it's origins as well as open it. Unable to however, they leave it in the museum's storage until they can find someone to open the coffin without possibly damaging it's contents. The next day however they find the coffin open and empty, with no evidence of anyone even tampering with it much less actually carrying it's contents out.

[VAMPIRIC CURSE]
FIGHTING STYLE
Rachael is capable of two styles of fighting. The first is sword-use. She developed a knack for the blade while serving the vampire who turned her. The second is a style that allows her to strike opponents without physically touching them with her body. An example would be her throwing a hard punch, and the force of it continuing on for a few seconds. Used mainly to combat Hamon users since touching them is deadly. She can do this with her limbs or a blade.
ABSORPTION/FEEDING
[Once per thread, a Vampire is able to feed on a fallen character in a thread to gain a boost to their Soul Sync. You will gain 10% of the victim's SS, with a hard cap of 2,500 SS. Attempting to feed on another character takes one whole round, during which time others players can attempt to interrupt you.]
STATISTICS
[The Vampire's abilities come under several categories and are graded in an alphabetical system from E- to A+, with E- being the worst and A+ being the best. C is the average grade where you will work from while creating your Vampire!]
