As the young witch walked through the city streets, she couldn't help but yawn. It was extremely late at night, but it was an hour she had chosen on purpose. It was the witching hour. Three in the morning. For the next hour, her powers were supposed to be at their most potent. And so far, that seemed to be the case. There was a cup of coffee floating in front of her, hovering at chest level, rather than in her hands. It was a feat she wasn't quite sure that she could pull off normally. Still, for whatever reason, this was when her powers were strongest, and it was also when people tended to be most amenable to throwing cash into her little tip jar that she had in her hands. As she rounded a corner, her coffee cup lifted up, and she took a drink, her energy levels going up with every sip of the light roasted drink.
In truth, most of her power as a witch came from her familiar, Push and Pull. It was a simple name, but it was an apt one. But still, she wasn't about to let people know that. She took pride in her powers, yes. But still, she wanted to keep the illusion that she was the source. Still, as she arrived at her regular stretch of street, she set down her little tip jar. Every time someone walked by and looked at her, she did something random. The first set of people that walked by were clearly drunk, stumbling through the street, one of them said something about coffee. "Oh, would you like a cup?" She asked, getting their attention as she swirled her hand around, slowly raising her arm as her cup began to float!
She then swept her arm forward, making the cup circle them with her finger, beaming widely as the two drunk people were awestruck, her cup settling into her outstretched right hand. The drunks actually clapped when she took a drink of her cup, her hat's floppy tip blowing a bit as they dropped change into the jar, Push and Pull appearing behind Amelia as she sighed softly, drinking more of her coffee to relax as she looked up and down the street. There was really only one other person..and she didn't seem to be on her side of the road. She sighed as she held out her left hand, a ball of fire appearing in her hand as she lobbed it into the air lazily like a baseball, the ball of fire fizzling out as it reached the height of its arc. She would just have to wait until more people came by.

So it was, this night, another night, one Annie would of course be stalking for her own amusement. As time went on she had worked hard to make herself as happy as she had been in the years of her youth, but the burden of going out at night really did a number on her morale. Annie did good to keep a smile on her face but she could be much happier, if only not for that wretched weakness of hers, she missed the days of bathing in the light of the sun. In that dark alley she had been in she took the life of another passerby for the night, his veins now empty of all his blood. Annie ripped her fingers away from his neck and allowed his body to fall limp onto the ground. There was a bit of blood still left on her fingers after the feeding, she licked off the remains and let out a light exhale. "This'll do for the night...." She said holding her hand to her neck, cracking it. Without another word she walked out into the moonlight. She stood on the sidewalk and moved her eyes down the street of the block where she heard a commotion. She couldn't see clearly from where had been standing but it couldn't have been far off from her imagination. "Don't tell me...is that..." She had to get a closer look, and so she did. She made her way to what her eyes had been laid upon until it would have been clear to both parties, the girl, and the drunken men that Annie was among them, wearing her red shirt and skirt and of course her straw hat. Annie's Current outfit Annie held a hand on her waist and tilted her head as she watched her hypothesis prove itself true. There was a girl, with a witch hat, she had a tea cup floating in her orbit and obviously to one such as Annie, her stand behind her. It seemed interesting how many stand users she found herself running into so many other people with this power, as if she were attracted to them without a say in the matter. She took off her hat to let it hang around her neck by a thread and ran a hand through her ginger hair as she kept her eyes on the witch girl. "So, girl, you trying to attract attention by using your ''ability''? hehehe...I like you..." She walked closer to the girl to where a shadow could have been casted over the girl. Annie got a look at her youthful, pretty face and some innocence about her. She saw something in this girl...more than just her ability..or maybe it was her ability that showed Annie what it was she saw...potential.

Luckily for the girl who decided to get a closer look, Amelia was distracted still, completing her little routine as she got a closer look. As she took her sip, the drunks wandering away after giving her some of their money, Amelia nearly choked on her coffee, the sudden noise of the girl speaking making her jump, but still..blush for some reason? That was when she looked in the direction of the voice..and while on the outside, she seemed rather composed, professional even, on the inside, her jaw had dropped. The first thing that she had noticed was that this girl wasn't just gorgeous, she was drop dead gorgeous.
That was why, when she alluded to being able to see her familiar-a feat she had been told only other witches could perform-there was a delay in her response. She needed a moment to collect herself, especially with this woman getting in so close. She barely had any room to stand. At least..that was how it felt with her eyes poring over what seemed to be every detail of her face. However, after a few moments of flushed silence, what she said finally clicked, and her small, practiced show smile turned into a genuine one. Unfortunately, she had focused on the wrong thing. The last thing this girl had said.
"Heh..t..thanks..I try my best to put on a good show.." She replied, still a bit flustered before the rest of what had been said was processed by her mind, and her eyes widened. W..wait..y..you can see her..? Then..that means..you have one too? She asked cautiously, not knowing truly how common these familiars were. She tried to avoid the terms her family used. Unfortunately, if she tried to show off her culture, she was ridiculed most of the time. For now, she wanted to make sure that she wasn't talking to someone who was just pretending to see Push and Pull. Yet..something seemed..off about the situation. Something was making her uneasy..she was willing to ignore it for the moment however. Things had seemed to get interesting for her tonight.

When the girl seemed to jump at the mention of her stand being able to be seen by Annie, the woman smiled. Annie stood up straight, keeping a hand on her hip as an aura surrounded her her stand appeared behind her, but high up enough so that Amelia could see its appearance. Annie let out a giggle mostly in response to the cute reflex of the girl seeming to either never have met another stand user or was just getting into the groove of things. Annie then let Wonderwall disappear back into her consciousness, before examining Amelia's stand more closely. "As you can see, I do, my stand is called wonderwall it has a pretty interesting ability..it seems your's can manipulate gravity or has some type of telekinetic force...my my it's a strong ability that must be dripping with potential" Annie then turned her attention back to Amelia herself, taking note of the girls attire and her hat, She extended her hand for a shake. "My name is Annie...it's wonderful to meet you..." Annie's eyes drifted up to her hat "Young witch." She would say without any type of sarcasm in her voice, showing to be incredibly serious even with the smile that was upon her face. "You are quite the cutie...do you have the name to match?"

When the other woman admitted to having a familiar of her own-making note to call it a stand rather than a familiar-Amelia admittedly was rather excited, and before she could even open her mouth to ask to see it, she complied, an aura flaring around her momentarily, forcing Amelia to initially have to squint from the brightness, her pupils dilating as she ended up needing to look up, blinking in awe as she saw the other woman's stand. It looked to actually be very physically strong. So, when it just vanished, Amelia couldn't help but blink. She had even gone as far as to tell her its name.
What had surprised her even more was that this girl was even able to guess at least one of the two brands of magic that her fami-her stand allowed her to use. Still, she felt uneasy. She ignored it for now. The girl had actually shared her name. It was Annie. She even..legitimately took her seriously? That was different. Most people saw her as a joke just from what she wore, and as even more of a joke when she told them that she was a witch. That put her right at ease. With a bit of a giggle, Push and Pull vanished back into her consciousness.
"Why, aren't you a flatterer? Well, my name is Amelia. It's nice to meet you Annie." She said as she extended a hand, her empty cup being placed on a nearby windowsill as she smiled softly, brushing some of her hair out of her face as she tried to get her now returning blush under control.

Taking Amelia's hand into her own, Annie would put very little force into the hand shake. It were as if she had been hugging Amelia's hand softly with her own, by the time the handshake ended she would let her fingers slip off of Amelia's palm. Annie would fold her arms under her chest, not yet ready to take in the girl on a physical level, unlike most of her acquaintances while Amelia was different she was still normal but it did bear the question what she had been doing out at this time a night. Annie shifted her head to the light of the moon then looked back to the girl Amelia.
"Sweety, whats a young thing like you doing out on the streets at a time like this?"
She paused for a few seconds after asking the question but brought up her index finger in front of Amelia's mouth without touching her. With her other hand she propped it over her own forehead as if she were deep in thought.
"Wait...don't tell me..."
Annie thought about the books she found herself always reading and the folklore she became familiar with then slowly looked to Amelia with a smile, lowering her index finger then pointing at her hat. "It's the witching hour...isn't it?" Annie would let out a small chuckle before placing both of her hands onto her hips. "Oh yes it is! hahaha...oh thats so interesting..." Annie would once again bend forward and wiggle her eyebrows once at the girl.
"So you were looking to wonder the mean streets of New York and display your magic...am I right? tell me..how skilled are you with your 'magic'"
Annie asked in an exciting tone as if she were excited to hear the girl speak about it.

When she was asked what she was out here so late at night for, Amelia visibly became excited. Her eyes lit up, her body language was surprisingly open, and she opened her mouth..only to be shushed. While at first, she was unsure that Annie would get WHY she was out here..but she did. Actually she knew exactly why she was out here. It was the witching hour. There was..something about this girl. Amelia couldn't quite put a finger on it, but it didn't quite matter in the moment. She had finally found a person willing to be accepting of her culture, and even knew a bit about it in the first place! What really got her excited however, was the fact that SHE sounded so excited to see what Amelia could do! So, with a beaming grin, she took a few steps back and cleared her throat, Annie's hat slowly floating off of her body and into the air, revolving slowly as if it were on an axis, this spin even being present as Amelia held a finger up and the hat balanced on it by the very brim.
She smiled as she slowly removed her finger, the hat spinning rather quickly now before coming to a stop, allowing Annie to take her hat if she wanted, as Amelia herself curtsied rather formally, taking her own little bow after doing something so blatantly magical. She felt actually very good about herself. And, if she looked, Annie would find very little trace of Amelia's stand, the only trace being phantom torches that seemed to blend into her shoulders. "And that, was only one of the simpler things that I can do." She said, a tone of pride creeping into her voice.

Annie would chuckle a bit, leaning back she would begin to clap and give the girl a confident smile, her clap was slow but not so slow that it would be menacing.
"Hahaha, I'll give you credit Amelia"
Annie was able to analyze that she was roughly correct on the girls power although based on what she said it seemed she could manipulate it to a higher degree, with the nature of stands and the position the girl stood in Annie decided to take her word for it. Annie looked softly into the eyes of Amelia and made it obvious she was doing so, after a few moments of Silence Annie new her fascination in this girl could now be confirmed, someone with a telekinetic stand? Making an enemy of this girl wouldn't be a wise decision. Placing a hand on her hip she leaned into Amelia and tilted her head, she made sure to keep a warm smile on her face as she curled her finger under the girls chin.
"So Amelia, your ability is one like non other I am sure many people would be proud of you, I know I am your soul was truly gifted with your vexing powers, a beautiful witch with potential and a personality to die for..."
Annie noticed something about this girl, the fact that she didn't seem to correct Annie about her being a literal witch as a matter of fact she seemed to even admire Annie for referring to her as such, and the fact that she was out here on the witching hour...if she grew up in new york it would be hard to believe she made it through life without at least being mocked once. Not only was it obvious that Amelia had probably went through a lot in her youth but even a witch such as herself would be among the night with comrades of her own...it was a touchy subject for sure but Annie knew the pay off would be glorious.
"Tell me Amelia, it is obvious why you are out among the mean streets of new york..but where are your friends? had you not reminded them the day it was? a pretty girl such as you doesn't look even remotely like one that wouldn't have a few dependable souls..."

When Annie moved closer, all Amelia wanted to do was step closer as well. It wasn't often she found anyone so..openly understanding. She'd spent her whole childhood being shunned and bullied for embracing her arcane culture. It wasn't understood. In all honesty, it made her very lonely. She doubted that Annie knew it, but she was pushing all of the right buttons. However, if she had only been pushing them, then what she had just done slammed them all in a precisely correct order. Her heart skipped a beat as she stared into Annie's eyes, blushing intensely now. It felt like Annie was staring into her soul. Like her entire life was laid bare before the girl. It was a..strange feeling. But, when she was complimented, she felt her heart soar. Not only was she called beautiful, but her powers had done more than entertain, they had actually impressed someone! It was like everything she had ever wanted was coming true.
Something in the back of her head was nagging her that there had to be a catch, that this couldn't be all that she wanted it to be. After all..the odds of someone like her..being anything but straight..? It was almost silly sounding..at least, that's what the voice tried to convince her. Her heart said otherwise though. It was almost beating out of her chest as she swallowed softly when asked about her friends, her body language closing a bit as her eyes lowered, her arms wrapping around her body as her smile slowly faded away.
"Well..that's where your wrong...openly being a witch like I am..it's..resulted in a real lack of friends..even more so combined with the short time I was..open about..something else..hell..the only reason i'm even out here is because I don't make enough money during the day to cover all my bills.." The young witch said, all the happiness in her voice draining away as she pulled her head away from Annie slowly, looking down to keep the tears that were threatening to spill over hidden behind both her crimson hair and the wide brim of her hat, her head hanging almost in shame as she trembled in her spot. The torture of this was that it reminded her of her own loneliness..her parents disowned her for being openly magical, her grandparents were in a foster home, diagnosed with dementia..she had nobody. She was all alone in this big world. It was a terrifying prospect, and she was barely keeping everything held together.

Just as Annie expected, Amelia was alone, it was evident by the way she spoke, by the motion of her smile fading away. She had probably hit a sensitive spot on Amelia but it would all be worth it for the both of them. Annie watched as the girl shuddered and looked back on the words Amelia had told her. Annie placed a hand on her own forehead and shook it from left to right twice.
"Wait...no there must be some mistake, people discriminating against you for being a witch? such a beautiful girl had to go through that?"
Annie placed a hand on her own chest
"Ohhh...it breaks my heart..."
Annie decided to make her move she walked forward pacing her hands Amelia's shoulders to turn her to look face to face. She lifted the front of Amelia's hat to look into her eyes once again, she could see the tears trying to escape Amelia's eyes.
"Amelia, if you need to let those tears make their way down your cheeks then you may, I understand you must be feeling a thickness in your chest...I am not sure what you have gone through exactly but you don't need to hold those feelings in..."
She kept her eyes on Amelia's as she spoke, creating a comfort for the girl to feel in Annie's presence. Annie brushed the back of her hand down Amelia's cheek and moved her other hand to the girl's waist to slowly pul her closer.
"Amelia, you are a beautiful girl as much as I have probably said that it is only because of how obviously true it is...Oh Amelia, the things you must have endured..." She pulled Amelia to her, letting her cry if she decided to. "Have you ever felt the kindness that I show you tonight? Have you ever been truly embraced...Amelia, how I feel for you, but how proud I am of you also...you went through those things yet you were able to stand here today and smile, struggling to live where you do...I want you to do something for me...forget about all your problems..."
She rubbed the girl's back, holding her close as she tempted Amelia to let her feelings lose.
"Say my name Amelia...Annie...Annie will take care of you, Annie will be your friend...Annie...will never abandon you..."
Annie did what she could to lift the pain she had pressed upon the girl, showing all of the compassion she would any on the outside as she couldn't stop cackling on the inside.
'hehehehehe...oh poor Amelia...the girl has it hard but her stand...how truly magnificent it is..I couldn't let a girl like this fall into the hands of one of my enemies...I will show her the love that she had never experienced, I will shelter her as if she were my own daughter...I will look after her as if we had known each other for years...kahahahaha...Amelia, I am glad to have met you this day...'
The thoughts raced through Annie's mind she continued to pet the back of the girl and comfort her closely.

The moment Annie put her hands on Amelia's shoulders, the girl was putty in her hands. Her tears fell as she spoke, the permission being given to her to cry in front of the other woman seemingly opening the floodgates. However, instead of looking Annie in the eyes as she cried, the young woman pressed her face into Annie's chest, a few quiet sobs escaping past her lips as she trembled in Annie's grasp, the trembling slowing with every word that came out of Annie's lips. After a while, even the tears stopped, being replaced with a blush as the other woman called her beautiful once again, the young witch slowly looking up as she blinked softly, biting her lower lip as Annie asked her to both forget her problems and say her name. She swallowed slowly, clearing her throat as she obviously tried to compose herself enough to properly say her name.
"A..Annie.." She said quietly as she leaned in, her eyes closing softly as she pressed her lips against the other woman's, the brim of her hat coming out to poke out from behind both of them as Annie's straw hat dropped to the ground, Amelia's arms coming to wrap around her neck as she kissed her, her blush feeling particularly hot as she relaxed into the other woman. This was the most comfortable she had ever felt out in public doing something like this. She'd never been so at ease..even when she was at the peak of her popularity, when the bullying hadn't yet started. Annie..she was like a godsend. She might have accidentally brought up some things that hurt her, but she was also here to take that hurt away for good. She wanted that, needed it even.
This was an obvious choice for her. Pull away and go back to the pain of loneliness, or press forward and maybe, just maybe..she wouldn't need to be alone anymore. She knew what the best course of action was, and she was going to take it.

It went even better than Annie expected. She didn't even see the kiss coming from the woman, it surprised her to where her eyes actually widened at the girl, but once Annie caught the situation in her grasp and then was able to calm herself down. The kiss lasted a bit longer thanks to Annie, it wasn't until Annie slowly peeled her lips from Amelia's that it was finally done. She held the girl by her waist, she smiled looking again into the eyes of the girl that she knew was now wrapped around her little finger, Amelia who she would treat as if she were the most precious thing in the world.
She ran her hand through her crimson hair and holding her close to where their bodies touched. Annie admired the girl so, oh so much she could barely contain her excitement for the future with this girl. "Remember Amelia, Annie will always love you..." She whispered to Amelia in her ear.
'hehehehe...Hahahaha! oh my stars...Amelia is now mine! the power of telekinesis is now mine...but I can't just use Amelia, she is far too precious I will just make her comfortable and be satisfied with her life and drain her mind of all doubt...'
"Amelia, have you finally released all those heavy feelings? Are you finally one reborn? Before you told me you had no friends...but now you have me, isn't that right?"
She slowly released Amelia giving her a bit of space to readjust herself.

Though Amelia had been a bit hesitant to press so far with Annie, she seemed to be rather accepting of the kiss, even to the point of letting it last a bit longer than a normal kiss usually lasted, a feat that left Amelia's lungs somewhat burning from the lack of air. The moment that Annie broke the kiss, Amelia closed her eyes, sighing happily as she rested her head against Annie's shoulder, her hat bunching up a bit from being pressed against the skin before being lifted away as Annie ran a hand through her hair. It was surprisingly soft for how it looked, all spiky like it was. She smiled and even chuckled a little bit when Annie asked her if she really didn't have any friends, nodding in response to what she said as she let Annie get her space.
As she stood up straight once more, she took the time to smooth out her clothing, the strange sleeves she wore being the last things that were straightened out before she plopped her hat back onto her head. She seemed quite a bit happier than she had even when she was performing her magic. It was very strange to see. Still, she sighed as she picked up her tip jar. She only had earned ten bucks from her trick with the cup. "God..as happy as hearing all of that makes me..it doesn't change that I'm still several hundred dollars short of being able to pay rent this month, and its due in a few days.." She mused seemingly to herself as she put the lid on the jar, slipping it into the bag she had been carrying. Clearly this was something that worried her. And, it should have. Every day was just another day she got closer to being evicted. And, if Annie looked into her eyes, she would be able to see how panicked that made Amelia on the inside. She was doing a good job of hiding it on the outside, but on the inside she was freaking out. One more missed rent bill, and she was going to be thrown out onto the streets. That would scare pretty much anyone.

(pretty short... ;- Annie pulled her hands up and placed each of them on one side of Amelia's cheeks. She continued to keep her own eyes pinned with Amelia's as she caressed her face slowly to give a sense of affection, brushing her palms against Amelia's cheeks. "Didn't you hear me love? Annie will take care of everything for you...that includes this little money problem of yours, you might as well consider yourself free of troubles...tell me, where is this apartment you live? can you take me there? Annie will handle everything..." Annie smiled before removing her hands from Amelia's face and awaiting her to respond to her notion. She walked behind Amelia and placed her hands on Amelia's shoulders and pulling her close.

If the previous actions that Annie had taken had only caught Amelia off guard, then what she did when the witch looked back to her slipped past her guard, found a knife, and buried it in its back before it could even notice her. The moment that Amelia looked back to her new companion..her hands were on her cheeks. It was..decidedly intimate. What made it even more so was that she proceeded to carress her face gently. This time instead of simply heating up, her cheeks felt like they had just burst into flames. Of course, they hadn't. Yet, it wasn't this action that let Amelia relax-at least not fully. It was what she had said after that. And there was that nickname. "Love". Something about the way it sounded coming out of Annie's mouth sent shivers up her spine.
Of course, before she could open her mouth to respond, she felt herself be pulled backwards, her shoulders just naturally sliding underneath Annie's hands to leave her arms wrapped gently around the young witches front, the tips of her fingers likely coming to rest against her exposed stomach as she leaned against Annie, smiling softly. She didn't know what she had done to deserve something as pleasant as this. "Actually..I don't live very far from here...Its getting later than I'd like..nobody has shown up..I might as well return home. You're more than welcome to come with too.." She said as she slowly allowed herself to relax, the tip of her hat catching the breeze as she smiled underneath the wide brim of her hat. She liked how the night was going thus far. Not only had her money problems been solved..but so had the problem of her loneliness. That being said, she wasted no time, taking Annie's hand as she led her down the street, turning a corner and taking them away from the location that they had met, albeit rather slowly.
